RNS is accepting applications for multiple positions in our dynamic Associate Faculty (AF) program. The AF program is a terrific opportunity for new teachers or those who are pursuing a career in the field of education.
Subject areas for 2025-2026: Sciences, English, French, Socials, Mathematics, Physical Education, Art, Music and learning support.
Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset: coaching, athletics, robotics, drama, music, technology integration, coding, library, and/or learning support.
Main Responsibilities of the Role
- Teach a minimum of one course in their area of expertise (candidates with B. Ed) or provide learning support in a course (candidates without a B. Ed. )
- Provide academic support to students in our Learning Commons
- Support and supervise the Residential Life program.
- Be part of the residential life team, care for a specific group of boarding students, and live in an apartment in one of our residences.
- Be a contributing member of the team that plans and coordinates weekend programming.
- Assist or lead a co-curricular activity (sport, arts, or STEAM activity).
- On a rotating basis, be responsible for weekday and/or weekend duty shifts.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
- Gain experience in teaching, academic mentoring, residential life programming, and athletic or co-curricular leadership.
- Be mentored by innovative teachers and take part in a range of on-site professional development opportunities.
- Work closely with your houseparent to build strong relationships that encourage students to make good decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (for teaching role)
- Bachelor’s Degree (for non-teaching role)
- An interest in building strong relationships with youth
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible
- Good time management/organizational skills
- Experience with working with youth would be an asset

- Housing will be provided in one of the apartments located in the boarding houses. In some cases, this may be shared accommodation.
