Rothesay Netherwood School is responding to the increasing availability of technology that can assist in the educational process.
All students and faculty at RNS use school-approved laptop computers. Our school is fully networked with a wireless network, and classrooms are equipped with projectors and interactive whiteboards. We believe that the laptop program has resulted in a fundamental shift in the process of learning - there is more hands-on or real-world work, more editing skills, more visual learning, more interactive experiences, more student-paced learning, a higher interest level in materials, a greater range of activities available to the teacher and students, and a larger resource set available for research. Students also gain specific skills which are applicable in future employment opportunities.
